fatal error login fails

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Hi all,

I got an fatal error visiting my website which worked fine the day before. So I didn't make any changes before I got the error:
Fatal error: Cannot use object of type ConfigValue as array in /kunden/137598_10437/webseiten/fluerenbrock/concrete5/concrete/libraries/3rdparty/Zend/Cache/Backend/File.php on line 676

The same message appears when I try to visit the login page, therefor I'm not able to check what might be the problem.

Concrete Version is 5.4.1.1
php is 5.2.13; curl enabled; allow_url_fopen = on

Does anybody have an advice/solution?

Thx

mflue

Replace your /concrete folder with a new one or replace just the file.php with a new one

thx, but that didn't help. I still get the error message. just for my understanding, how should that help? what could be the reason for my problem?

ok, finally I had to reinstall c5 from the scratch to make it work again. Fortunately the db was still fine *puh*
Anyway, I still wonder what was causing the problem cause it's not increasing confidence at all...

well concrete5 is about 30 megs after all the zend libraries so if you're FTPing the thing up file by file its quite likely that something gets borked in the process. You might not notice for quite some time.

generally when we're installing or moving sites we will upload the whole package and unarchive it on the server using SSH..

Perhaps?

SSH should in fact be the better way to move files up or down. I should use that in the future.
So far everything is working fine again and I really do love concrete5! It's just that I still do not know whether there was a problem editing the site or something with the files originally loaded. Anyway, for now I know how to handle just in case...

thx mflue

Is there a how-to on unarchiving via ssh? I'd love to learn.

As far as I know you only need SSH enabled at your provider. Then you could simply use an ftp programm to upload and unpack on the server.

Is there any other explanation for this?
My site was working fine and then one day this happened.

When I installed it I used method described above
