don't see login at bottom of my site

Hi,
I have Concrete5 installed locally through WAMP on my PC. I created a custom theme and got it activated. My problem is that if I sign out, I get my site but no login at the bottom of the site to log back in. I can only edit the site if I type in my url to my site with the "/index.php/login" and then type admin and my password. Can anyone tell me what might be missing and how I might get the login feature to show at the base of the site?
Much appreciated,
Adriana
UPDATE: found a fix. I took a look at the greensalad theme's default.php file that comes with Concrete5 and put the php code that it had in the footer div into my footer div as well as the style for it from greensalad's main.css file. Now I have a login in my footer area :)
