Need help editing values for register.php

I'm trying to translate a duplicate page of register.php into another language. I can translate the labels for input boxes, but I can't find the values "I would like to receive private messages." and "Send me email notifications when I receive a private message." I'm guessing these are pulled from a different file. Any leads on where I can find these so I can edit them?
