Having trouble editing...can't sign-in
Permalink
I have been experiencing an issue signing in to edit my site.
On my desktop - When I select Sign In to Edit Site and the bottom of my home page, I get "Page Not Found" address bar is ff_conc/index.php/login/
Currently, I am logged in on my laptop and can edit.
I'm wondering, is the laptop blocking me from entering the sign in on the desktop?
I'm really worried if I log off of the laptop, that I won't get back into edit mode later.

It almost looks like this is a permissions issue with the site, because I can access the login page from here:
http://files.furiousfuchsia.com/ff_conc/index.php/dashboard...
But not from
http://files.furiousfuchsia.com/ff_conc/index.php/login...
Which is very odd.

Here's what happened...I by mistake I changed the order of the sitemap. I think that when that happened key folders where put in the wrong place. With that the log in page was not where it was supposed to be.
As long as the laptop was signed in I could edit and move the sitemap around, I almost had it, then I got logged off of the laptop and I was done!
Frustrated (to say the least) I removed concrete5 saving the pages that I had created hoping that I will be able to re-install concrete5 then import these pages somehow.
As I look at the newly installed concrete5 I see that me old sitemap(as I remember it to be) was so screwed up compared to the newly installed sitemap.
Anyway, I there an easy way to import the pages that I created in the previous installation to the now current install? attached is a picture of the newly installed sitemap.
note: the sitemap that was misaligned had the dashboard at top, then home, register, login, then the pages I created.

You say that you saved the pages from the old install of concrete5, how exactly did you save them?
When I uninstalled the application I choose not to delete them. So they should still be in their folder.
I've never seen a feature like this with concrete5, perhaps this is something built in to your host. I don't know how you would import the leftover information.
The install and removal was through my website host. So I was able to save the data. Now I just need to find out how to import the old pages.
I have been having trouble editing for the past two weeks. I have not had any issues up until now. All of a sudden I am getting coding errors and every time I do get in to edit, it does not save or it automatically kicks me out. I also get a lot of Access Denied Errors. I have place the new 5.7.0 in my update folder but when I log on it states it does not recognize any updates. I have not tried to manually update it. In the screenshots attached you can see by screenshot 1 I am logged in to my dashboard, but in screenshot 2 you can see I have nothing to choose from to edit. I have tried Firefox, Chrome, and IE.
I see that you provided the URL that you are getting on the desktop, can you please confirm that the URL that you are getting on the laptop is the same when you login there?
